APPSC Group 1 2020 Notification, Exam Dates,Salary, Exam Pattern & Eligibility

Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission conducts the APPSC Group 1 exam to recruit the officers in the state government departments. These services provide ample opportunities for candidates to serve society at large. In addition, the welfare of the people serves as the main source of motivation for these positions.APPSC Group I Main Exam 2020 will be conducted from November 2 to November 13, 2020 in the state. The exam schedule is available on the official site of APPSC at official website.

The Group 1 (Mains) Examination 2019 that was scheduled to take place from 12-12-2019 to 23-12-2019 was postponed by the Commission on administrative grounds. The exam was rescheduled to take place from February 4, 2020, onwards; later dates were revised to April 7, 2020; however, considering Coronavirus pandemic situation, the news dates were announced on 22nd June 2020. The examination schedule is given below:

APPSC Group 1 2020: Eligibility Criteria

Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission’s  (APPSC)  Group – I exam  eligibility conditions are given below..

1. Nationality: A Candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
2. Age
: For all the Posts in Group – 1 Notification, Candidate’s age limit is given on above table.

The Candidate’s Upper age limit relaxations details given below:

3. Educational qualification:

District Fire Officers in A.P. Fire Service.Degree in Engineering (Fire) of any University recognised by the University Grants Commission or any other equivalent qualifications. Provided that if no candidates with B.E (Fire) qualifications are available, candidates with the Degree in any discipline will be considered.
Asst. Treasury Officer/Asst. Accounts Officer in A.P. Treasury & Accounts ServiceA degree in Commerce or Economics or Mathematics of a University Recognised by the UGC with at least a 2nd class in the subject, or A Chartered Accountants of the United Kingdom or India or an incorporated Accountant (London).
District Social Welfare Officer in A.P. Social Welfare ServiceMust possess a bachelor’s Degree of any University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or a State Act or provincial Act or an institution recognised by the University Grants Commission. Provided that preference shall be given to persons possessing a degree in Sociology or Social work.

4.Physical Requirements

For Post Code No. 03 to 05: Must be atleast 167.6 Cms. in height and atleast 86.3 Cms. round the Chest on full expansion, with a chest expansion of atleast 5 Cms.

For S.T: Must be atleast 164 Cms. in height and atleast 83.8 Cms. round the Chest on full expansion, with a chest expansion of atleast 5 Cms.

For Post Code No. 03 (Women): Must be atleast 152.5 Cms. in height, and atleast 86.3 Cms. round the Chest on full expansion, with a chest expansion of atleast 5 Cms. and not less than 45.5 Kg in weight.

For Post Code No.08: Must be atleast 165 Cms. in height and atleast 86 Cms. round the Chest on full expansion, with a chest expansion of atleast 5 Cms.

For Post Sode No. 03 & 05:
Vision:
 The candidate’s eyesight will be tested per the following rules. The result of each test will be recorded.

Further, two eye tests will be done for testing any abnormality in the candidate’s eye.

APPSC Group 1 2020:Selection Process

APPSC conducts the APPSC Group 1 exam to recruit the officers in the provincial civil services. the APPSC Group 1 exam in the following three stages..

  • Prelims Exam: This stage is used to filter out the candidates to be selected for the next stage.
  • Mains Exam: It is the merit deciding round.
  • Interview: It tests the thorough knowledge of the candidates of their expertise subject.
  • The final selection will be made on the basis of the total marks obtained by the candidate’s in Written Examination, and Oral Test taken together & subjected to the rule of reservation of appointments wherever it applies and number of vacancies available, physical fitness and medical standards . Selected candidates may allotted in their positions.

APPSC Group 1 interviews are conducted and the candidates needed to go at the commission’s office in Vijayawada. The candidate needs to carry all the original documents related to their

  • Educational Qualification
  • Date of Birth
  • Category certificates issued by the competent authority
  • Age Relaxation Claimed
  • Professional Experience

The commission’s officers will verify the original certificates physically and will take a copy of all the certificated for the filling purpose. 

This is the third time in the row when APPSC Group 1 Main Exam 2019 was postponed. This recruitment drive will fill up 169 posts under Group I Services in the organization. Candidates can check for more related details through the official site of APPSC.
